Located in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest midway between Manistique and Munising at the junction of Thunder Lake Road and Foote Lake Road.

We're Ted and Louise, your hosts!

Burson's Delta Resort is located between Manistique and Munising, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula.  Can you find Steuben or Thunder Lake on your atlas?  We're about 4 miles from each of those.  You can put our address in your Garmin, but we can't guarantee it will get you here....we're in a pretty remote area!

Here are a few things you need to know about our place..........the cabin you'll be renting has one or more double beds.  You'll need to remember to bring sheets, pillowcases and towels, as well as paper products.  Maybe your kids would like to snuggle up in a sleeping bag at night that you can just throw on the bed...if you have room to transport it in your vehicle!

As for food and supplies, staying at our resort somewhat resembles a camping trip if you've ever been on one.  However, if you've never had to plan for camping, we usually tell people to plan their menu for the week and then bring what they can for that particular meal.  Typically on vacation you don't eat huge meals, but smaller ones more frequently.  We have a potluck and wiener roast on Wednesday nights of each week, so plan on that if you'd like to join us.

If you do any traveling or sightseeing you might eat out, and of course, don't forget to plan meals of fish to eat from what you catch while you're here!  On your trip here, the last big towns you may go through (Escanaba, Marquette, Munising or Manistique) are the closest towns to us with supermarkets.  We are 25 miles from two of those towns and further yet (60 miles) from the other two, so make sure you stock up on what you need before you pass those!

"What should we bring to wear?"  Everything up here is pretty casual....we wear jeans almost everywhere.  Bring a jacket or a sweatshirt, as it can get chilly and sometimes "buggy".  You might also want to bring rain gear if you plan to do things despite the weather.  It can be warm too, so shorts and swimwear are equally important.

It can be a little chilly at night, and a little buggy!

Any attire goes!

As mentioned, it can be buggy...this Off! Mosquito repellent clip-on works!

Sweatshirts, t-shirts, whatever you're comfortable in.

Definitely plan on fishing while at the resort.  You can go out in the boat that comes with your cabin, or fish from the pier located at the northern part of the lake down from our big cabin.  We have life preservers for all ages if you don't bring your own, as this is Michigan law.  There are bluegill, bass and northern pike in abundance, as well as perch and crappie.  We have a screened-in fish cleaning house for your convenience located at the center of the resort so that "not so nice" job can be done there!

Remember, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call or drop us an email.  We're here to help in any way possible that can make your stay more enjoyable!
